The long-awaited Fancy Mike debut EP has finally arrived!

Enter the Garden and welcome to your fractured, garbled memories. Fancy Mike's debut EP, MADISON SQUARE GARDNER is a beautiful adventure into the hypnotic nature of lo-fi instrumental beat music. Influences include: field recordings, film scores, French electro, 70s italo-disco, 80s synth-pop and current-day keygen music. Fancy Mike is quickly evolving a Midwestern-influenced beat style into a sound that would feel most at home in the current Los Angeles scene.

"Here's a release to be grabbing people.... Madison Square Gardener is the first release on a new label called King Deluxe, and it's by a chap with the slightly effeminate name, Fancy Mike. Sub-Heavy Glitch Hop and synth-led post dubstep is the order of the day here... there's 8 tracks, the pick of the bunch for me is Lazer Opera - a crunching glitch riddim being straddled by an almost Depeche Mode-esque synth line with enough sub-bass to shake the filters out your cigarettes. Other tracks bring in choppy and atmospheric soul samples, and reflective electronic atmospherics - there's a lot of different influences here, but the central groove remains intact. Strong stuff."

Miami instrumentalist Raw Stiles and Minnesota/LA indie synthesizer fiend Fancy Mike collide for the first time on "Fantastique," a new four-track EP being released through experimental music net-label Stereoptico.

The record is a continuation of Stereoptico's 2x2 series, which showcases two tracks from pairs of promising underground artists. "Fantastique" is also the first in the series to feature two artists from the United States. Laden with buttery synthesizers and crunchy drumlines, the results are truly "Fantastique!"
