Sounds like...

Sounds like you just downloaded a midi file and applied your own patches to it. It sounds this way because when the repetitious piano is being played, the sounds don't even have enough room to resonate. I dunno, I could bee wrong but this is what I think, in my opinion so I guess the song is just like the original. Heh.

alix1 responds:

I downloaded the sheet music and did it in FL Studio 5.
I don't believe in cheating.
I am very good at reading sheet music so I would expect it to be like the original.
I did not intend for it to resonate.

You are my 100th review!

I liked it better with the glitch style drums though this piece is still nice. Classical music with a beautiful sad melody and a resounding instrumentation capable of melting the coldest of hearts... What isn't there to love? Haha. Good luck with the competition.

MAc 2008! Woo hoo!

Of all the submission for the MAC this month, yours is my favorite. Not only does it vary in "feel" but it's also 7 minutes long! I know, most people would be put off by the extended length of this piece but that's another reason why I love it so much. There is enough variety in this piece to keep things interesting. And then the guitar comes in and it bleeds with the music beautifully and I believe it took the piece to another realm. It started off awesome but then slowly escalated to epic. I have actually listened to this about 5 times now and still counting... Excellent work.

sculpted-cold responds:

Sweet, now I'm happy! Some of the guitars I had to cut out because of mixing issues, but I think it still sounds pretty good. This one took me awhile to make, so I really appreciate your review! Thank you so much, man.

Btw, nice avatar. Dexter FTW!

Starts off slow...

You're right, this is a very ambient piece and I am loving all the background noises. The bells were a nice touch and I enjoyed picturing movie scenes while this played in the background. There seems to be an air of sci-fi to this track because of the repetitious glitch sounds in the background and I like that!

Flash-MX responds:

Thanks for the review! I did intend this to be a little sci-fi like you mentioned..:D

Exponentially entertaining.

I am loving that piano though this is a tad short. I like it because I can easily picture this in a film. There really isn't much else to say. Really works well for conveying emotions since it has a nice melody to it. Bravo.

What's the recording system?

What's the new recording system? Doesn't sound so special.

Kraigerex1 responds:

There is nothing special about it. I was just seeing how well it worked.

Stupendous.

I thoroughly enjoyed this peace. Though I could tell the two-measure intro was looped (you should fix that) I really enjoyed the rest of the song. Nothing too complex or epic but that's how I like it. I'm a minimalist and this is minimalist at it's near best. Though I would have liked to see a little more variety, for what it's worth, it works well for what it tries to achieve.

Did you make all these samples yourself or are they a collection from a library... Well, I actually recognized a few of them... Ah well.

Duh, duh duh duh dah. duh duh duh dah, duh duh duh dah duh!
